As part of Operation Resilience, Hampshire County Council’s programme to make Hampshire’s roads more resilient to the effects of extreme weather and heavy traffic, please find below a letter which advises of upcoming blockwork replacement & carriageway resurfacing in Bridge Street, Fordingbridge, from the junction with the A338 northbound slip road to the junction with High Street.
The works are programmed to start on 11th February 2019 and are expected to last for 4 weeks, during which time the road will remain closed to vehicular traffic. The above timescales are weather dependent. Any significant changes to the scheduled dates will be made clear on the yellow sign boards located at the works limits.
Since this letter was received, Hampshire County Council have informed the Town Council that local traffic coming from the direction of Godshill will be able to turn north on the A338 via the slip roads, while HGV traffic will be diverted via the roundabout at Ringwood.
