As part of the annual programme of works being undertaken by Hampshire County Council’s Operation Resilience team, it will shortly be undertaking carriageway resurfacing in Newgrounds, Godshill as per the letter sent to residents which can be found at the link below.
The works are programmed to start on 8th March 2019 and are expected to last for up to 5 days, during which time the road will be closed to vehicular traffic, between the hours of 09:30 – 16:00hrs.
In preparation for the carriageway resurfacing, there will be some drainage & vegetation cutback works, starting on 11th February 2019, also under a road closure. The works will take place between the hours of 09.30 to 16.00 hrs and are expected to last for up to 10 days.
For each phase of the works, the road will be open during evenings and weekends. Information signs advising road users of the works will be erected approximately 2 weeks before the start of works.
